About us

At Resource Equity Association (REA), we are committed to advancing equity and stability for Seattle’s historically displaced Black communities. Our focus is on addressing wealth disparities and providing the support needed for families to retain their homes, protect their assets, and build a secure financial future.

Our cornerstone initiative, the Housing Navigation Program, offers personalized, one-on-one guidance to legacy homeowners facing the challenges of property ownership and financial management. This six-step program provides comprehensive support, starting with property assessments and extending through legal and financial counseling. Each family is paired with a dedicated housing navigator who works closely with them to navigate complex processes, protect their assets from predatory developers, and ensure they can maintain long-term stability within their communities.

At REA, we believe in the power of community, empathy, and practical solutions. By providing high-touch, individualized support, we are helping to combat displacement and create pathways to financial well-being for historically marginalized families. Our team of experts is passionate about ensuring that homeowners can not only stay in their homes but thrive in the neighborhoods they love.

Join us in building a future where equity in housing is a reality for all. Together, we can make a meaningful impact on the communities we serve.
